On February 13, 2020 the LBCTA held its 4th annual bowling fundraiser for Sunrise Day Camp, LI at Maple Lanes in Rockville Centre. This fundraising event raised over $6,000 for a very worthy organization that provides a free summer day camp experience for children and their siblings who have been affected by cancer or serious illness. STUDY MONEY UPDATE
Those who applied, and were approved for winter study money, should be on the December 10, Board of Education agenda. There is one more opportunity to participate in the Study Money Program: Summer- May 8, 2020. Members with permanent or professional certification may apply for up to $1,750 in study money per semester The application is available online at Request for Participation in Study Program - Group A.
Congratulations to Team 11561 for raising $7,7041.00 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer! Thank you to everyone that participated, walked, purchased shirts, and donated to this very worthwhile cause.

On Thursday, February 27, 2020 members of the LBCTA demonstrated their support for our NYSUT brothers and sisters in the Lawrence Teachers' Association by wearing red. Lawrence teachers have been without a contract since 2011!
